Helping Children Paint Brighter Horizons Through Art Therapy - 18 th June to 18th July 2026

Many of us have colouring pencils, crayons, felt-tip pens, sketch pads, colouring books or other art materials tucked away in a drawer at home that are no longer being used. We are asking if you would consider donating them to support the wonderful work of Ormiston Families who help children facing some of life's toughest challenges. These include children coping with the loss of a loved one, or those who have a parent or family member in prison and may feel worried, confused or anxious about visiting them.

Through art and creative activities, children are given a safe and gentle way to express feelings that are often too difficult to put into words. A simple box of crayons or a colouring book can help a child feel calmer, process their emotions, build confidence and maintain important family connections during difficult times. Whether your donation is brand new or gently used, it could bring comfort, hope and a moment of happiness to a child who really needs it.

Working alongside family support workers, art and play therapy can help a child unlock emotions, reconnect with people and with education and start to process extremely complex challenges.

Collection boxes will be available at St Neots Golf Club and Citizen Hub in St Neots and every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. Thank you for helping us support these children and reminding them that their community cares.
