Purple Horizons was delighted to welcome supporters to our latest Paint It Purple evening at The Citizens Hub in St Neots, where guests enjoyed an inspiring and creative celebration of the life and work of renowned American artist Georgia O’Keeffe. The event raised an impressive £386, which will be shared between Papworth Trust and Ormiston Families to support their invaluable art therapy work across the local community.
The evening began with a fascinating talk from art historian Lisa Bamford, who brought Georgia O’Keeffe’s remarkable story and artistic achievements to life. Guests then had the opportunity to create their own artwork inspired by O’Keeffe’s distinctive style, with expert guidance from local artist Lauren Keating. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and full of creativity, with participants of all abilities embracing the chance to explore their artistic talents.
The artwork produced during the evening was truly outstanding, showcasing a wonderful range of colour, imagination, and personal expression. Guests thoroughly enjoyed the experience, taking home beautiful paintings and lasting memories of a fun and engaging evening.
