Under a Violet Sky - Another Purple Horizons Charity Ball 💜
Purple Horizons hosted our third charity ball “Under a Violet Sky” on Saturday 10th October 2026. It was a wonderful evening, bringing guests together for an enjoyable night of fine dining, entertainment and fundraising in support of Ormiston Families and Papworth Trust.
The evening began with a drinks reception, followed by a delicious three-course meal, complete with cheese and coffee, provided by Rob Herron of Herron Catering. Guests then enjoyed music and dancing courtesy of Black Cat Radio and Davric Roadshow. The dance floor was full all night long dancing to the sounds of Abba, ELO and some great 80s tracks.
A great deal of planning and preparation went into bringing “Under a Violet Sky” together, from the violet-themed decorations and table arrangements to the menu planning, raffle prizes and entertainment. Purple Horizons would like to thank everyone who contributed their time, skills and enthusiasm behind the scenes to help make the evening such a success. We would particularly like to thank Sophie Farrer for her ongoing help with our graphics.
We are particularly grateful to Premier Plus Ltd and Advanced Handling for their very generous sponsorship of Purple Horizons. We would also like to extend our gratitude to everyone who donated raffle prizes, supported ticket sales and contributed to the fundraising efforts. Thank you so much to everyone who attended and helped create such a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.
At the heart of the evening was our commitment to supporting Ormiston Families and Papworth Trust. Both charities carry out valuable work supporting individuals and families, and we are proud to help raise funds for their important causes.
Under a Violet Sky was a fantastic opportunity to bring people together for a shared purpose, combining an enjoyable social occasion with support for two deserving charities.
